Contract Manager

Job Purpose:

Manage the contractual and commercial performance of construction projects, protecting company interests and maximizing project profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage construction contracts throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review contract terms, specifications, BOQs, and contractual obligations.
• Manage variations, claims, EOTs, disputes, and contractual notices.
• Control project costs, budgets, cash flow, forecasts, and profitability.
• Lead commercial negotiations with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Manage subcontract agreements, payments, variations, and final accounts.
• Identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks.
• Review payment applications, valuations, and certification.
• Prepare commercial reports and provide recommendations to senior management.
• Lead final accounts and commercial project closeout.
• Manage and develop commercial/contract teams.

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 15+ years of construction contracts/commercial experience.
• Strong experience with FIDIC and international construction contracts.
• Excellent knowledge of claims, variations, EOTs, cost control, and final accounts.
• Strong negotiation and contract-administration skills.
• Experience with major construction projects.
• MRICS, PMP, CCM, or equivalent certification is an advantage.
• Strong Excel and commercial/project-control skills.
