Technical Officer
About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Technical Officer / Assistant Engineer to support the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of fire protection and mechanical systems .
The successful candidate will be involved in Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) activities, preventive and corrective maintenance, fault troubleshooting and coordination of technical works.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out inspection, maintenance and troubleshooting of fire protection and mechanical systems .
- Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Diagnose system faults and coordinate rectification works.
- Provide technical support for fire protection, mechanical and related networked systems.
- Attend to system breakdowns, faults and technical issues.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors and site teams on maintenance and repair works.
- Conduct routine site inspections and ensure systems are operating properly.
- Maintain service reports, maintenance records, checklists and other technical documentation.
- Assist in testing, commissioning and system rectification works where required.
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with relevant safety and operational requirements.
- Perform other technical duties as assigned by the Project/Facilities Manager.
Requirements
- Higher Nitec or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, Building Services, Electrical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
- Minimum 3–4 years of relevant IFM experience , preferably involving fire protection and mechanical systems .
- Good hands-on knowledge of troubleshooting fire protection, mechanical and networked systems .
- Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Able to read and understand basic technical drawings, manuals and system documentation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office , particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Possess a valid Singapore Class 3 driving licence .
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with contractors and site teams.
- Willing to work a 5.5-day work week and provide support when required.
