Build clear work breakdown structures, activity logic, key milestones and critical paths for building, civil, foundation, maintenance and project works.
Estimate the duration of major activities based on work scope, quantities, construction methods, productivity and site constraints.
Establish, update and control approved project baselines in accordance with contract and Client requirements.
Maintain proper schedule revision and change-control records.
2. Resource Planning& Deployment
Prepare daily manpower, plant, equipment and material deployment plans in coordination with the project team.
Develop resource-loaded schedules and short-, medium- and long-term resource forecasts.
Compare planned resources against actual deployment and highlight shortages, over-allocation or low productivity.
Recommend resource levelling, resequencing or recovery actions to support project milestones.
Prepare two-week, four-week and monthly look-ahead plans for site execution.
3. Progress Monitoring & Reporting
Collect and update actual site progress against the approved baseline and current work plan.
Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports with schedule updates, progress curves, manpower histograms and milestone status.
Analyse planned versus actual progress, schedule variance and critical-path movement.
Provide early warning of delays and constraints that may affect completion.
Prepare and monitor recovery or acceleration plans with the project team.
Present schedule and progress updates during internal and Client meetings.
4. Delay Analysis, Recovery Planning & EOT Support
Maintain records for delays, disruptions, Client instructions and scope changes.
Assess the impact of design changes, late information, access restrictions and other constraints.
Support EOT claims with delay chronology, impacted activities, schedule analysis and evidence.
Coordinate timely notices and complete EOT submissions with Project and Commercial teams.
Prepare recovery schedules and track agreed corrective actions.
5. Tender Planning, Site Coordination & Handover
Prepare tender programmes, planning narratives, resource plans and other scheduling-related technical submissions.
Review tender drawings, specifications, scope and proposed construction methods to develop realistic durations and sequences.
Coordinate with Project, Operations, Engineering, Procurement, Commercial, subcontractors and Client representatives on schedule requirements and interfaces.
Monitor site implementation and ensure work is carried out according to the agreed sequence and priorities.
Update completion, testing, punch-list and handover activities and ensure they are properly planned and monitored.
Maintain clear and accurate planning records for project close-out and lessons learned.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree, Diploma or Nitec in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or an equivalent qualification.
Minimum three to six years of planning and scheduling experience in the construction or process industry.
Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, including development of project schedules and preparation of planning and progress reports for Clients.
Experience in construction planning and scheduling for civil-related facilities, building works, foundation works or process-industry projects is preferred.
Able to read drawings, understand construction methods and translate project scope into practical activity sequences and resource requirements.
Good analytical, reporting, coordination and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with site and office teams.
