Structured Cabling and Fibre Installation Supervisor

Responsibilities:

Survey cable routes, containment and outlet locations; prepare cable, port and labelling schedules. Supervise Cat6A copper and multimode fibre installation, termination and patching. Manage technician assignments, installation progress, workmanship and site coordination. Enforce cable separation, bend-radius, containment, grounding and fire-stopping requirements. Oversee rack dressing, patch-panel termination, labelling and safe handling of fibre and equipment. Certify every copper permanent link, test fibre optical loss, rectify defects and deliver test reports and as-built records. Support subsequent cable repairs, moves, additions and changes.

Requirements:

At least 5 years of structured cabling experience, including commercial installation supervision. Hands-on Cat6A copper and multimode fibre installation and termination experience. Competence with professional copper certification and fibre test equipment. Ability to supervise technicians, interpret drawings and maintain accurate installation records. Strong attention to labelling, rack organisation, quality and site safety.

Preferred: BICSI, Fluke, FOA/CFOT or relevant manufacturer training. Fibre-splicing certification or practical splicing experience is an advantage.
