Salling Search is searching for a Handysize Broker for a growing dry bulk shipbroking firm based in Singapore. This is a chance to join an active desk covering the Handysize segment, with strong deal flow and room to build out your own client base. Responsibilities Source and negotiate Handysize dry bulk chartering fixtures between shipowners and charterers to secure profitable deals Develop and maintain strong relationships with shipowners, charterers, and brokers to expand business opportunities Track freight rates, vessel positions, and cargo availability to identify and capitalize on chartering opportunities Prepare fixture recaps, charter party terms, and related documentation to ensure accurate contract execution Coordinate with operations teams post-fixture to facilitate smooth handover and operational efficiency Monitor market developments continuously and provide timely updates to clients to support informed decision-making Requirements Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience as a dry bulk broker, preferably within the Handysize segment Established network of shipowner and charterer contacts to facilitate deal-making Strong understanding of charter party terms and freight market dynamics to negotiate effectively Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to build trust and close deals
