Motor Claims Surveyor
About the company
We are a general insurance company seeking a detail-oriented and responsible Motor Claims Surveyor to assess vehicle damage and support the motor insurance claims process.
Your tasks
- Inspect accident-damaged vehicles to assess the extent of damage and verify its consistency with the reported accident circumstances.
- Evaluate repair methods, scope of work and estimated repair costs, and negotiate with claimants or repairers where necessary.
- Prepare and submit interim and final vehicle damage assessment reports, including findings and recommendations.
- Identify and report any irregularities, discrepancies or abnormalities observed during vehicle inspections.
- Liaise with motor repair workshops, claimants and relevant parties to clarify damage assessments and resolve claims-related matters.
- Conduct vehicle inspections at various locations and travel for work-related assignments using a personal vehicle, where required.
Requirements
- GCE ‘O’ Level or equivalent qualification.
- Able to communicate effectively in English and Mandarin to liaise with repairers and other stakeholders, review claims-related information and discuss vehicle damage and repair costs.
- Good observation skills, attention to detail and the ability to assess information objectively.
- Willingness to learn and develop knowledge of motor claims assessment, vehicle damage evaluation and insurance claims procedures.
- Able to travel to various vehicle inspection locations using a personal vehicle, where required.
- Relevant experience in motor claims assessment, automotive repair, vehicle inspection or the motor insurance industry will be an advantage, but is not essential.
