*Job Responsibilities:*
You will be responsible for the overall operation of Pearle Vision including, but not limited to:
- Keeping your location in an utmost presentable condition at all times;
- Keeping the lab operations smooth and in-check at all times;
- Proven sales record;
- Providing recommendations on how the advertising budgets are spent;
- Ensuring customer satisfaction and resolving customer disputes in professional and calm manner;
Additionally:
- Scheduling appointments for the Optometrists
- Pretesting patients and provide doctor support
- Fitting, Adjusting and dispensing eye glasses, and contact lenses under the optometrist?s supervision
- Accurately interpreting optical prescriptions written by optometrists or ophthalmologists;
- Giving advice to patients on lens type, frames and styling;
- Fitting contact lenses and giving detailed advice/training on their care and use;
- Taking accurate frame and facial measurements to ensure correct fit and positioning under the optometrist?s supervision;
- Collection of eye measurements including corneal width and thickness;
- Advising partially sighted patients on the use of low vision aids;
- Advising patients when adjustments or repairs to spectacles are needed;
- Helping clients select eyeglass and lens treatments including tints and coatings;
- Adjusting eyeglasses to ensure a proper fit;
- Ordering lenses from prescription houses and completed jobs from optical labs;
- Edging lenses accurately to ensure proper fit and to adhere to industry practices;
- Keeping track of orders, prescriptions, and inventory
- Creating work orders for lab technicians to ensure delivery of the proper lenses
- Checking lenses on delivery to ensure that they meet the required specifications;
- Arranging and maintaining creative shop displays;
- Liaising with sales representatives from vision care product suppliers;
- Active participation in store meetings
- Timely communication with the store Director/Business Manager
- Expected to be flexible & work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends (retail hours)
- Keeping accurate patient and business records;
- Customer service and other tasks as required
- Selecting, managing and ordering a range of optical and non-optical products including Inventory, Optometrist supplies, Chiropodist supplies, and generally office and cleaning supplies as necessary;
- Maintain a clean and spotless appearance of the entire store that is welcoming to the patients
- Supervising and training trainee sales staff;
- Analyze cost and billing from vendors to ensure accuracy, credit and discount applications as negotiated with the suppliers;
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.62-$22.00 per hour
