Software Engineer, Full Stack (ReactJs/PHP/Hack) (contract role)

Our client is a globally recognised technology company looking for a Software Engineer (Full Stack) to join its Business Support Engineering team in Singapore.

The role will support global telecom and mobile operator partners by resolving complex technical issues, enhancing existing product features, and developing tools and platform improvements.

This is a contract ending in August 2027.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 3 (L3) technical support by troubleshooting, investigating and resolving complex technical issues, bugs and partner-related queries.
• Develop and implement full-stack enhancements, bug fixes and product improvements to address specific partner requirements.
• Collaborate with Technical Leads, Product Managers, Designers and cross-functional engineering teams to define technical requirements and deliver solutions.
• Design, develop and maintain front-end interfaces, backend systems and APIs using technologies such as ReactJS, JavaScript, Hack (PHP) and GraphQL.
• Build and enhance user interfaces using ReactJS and Meta's server-driven UI framework, Bloks.
• Develop and maintain middle-tier APIs to integrate backend systems with complex front-end applications.
• Work with SQL and Spark to build data pipelines, aggregate data and develop dashboards to support product analytics.
• Prepare and communicate technical design proposals, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable and aligned with engineering standards.
• Develop automated tools and solutions to improve operational efficiency, streamline support processes and reduce recurring technical issues.
• Participate in project rotations and collaborate with regional engineering teams across Singapore, the US and Ireland.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of software engineering experience, with hands-on experience in full-stack development.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and ReactJS, with experience developing modern web applications and user interfaces.
• Practical experience with PHP/Hack and GraphQL, particularly in backend development and API integration.
• Foundational knowledge of SQL and experience working with databases and data handling.
• Experience across the software development lifecycle, including technical design, development, testing, debugging and deployment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and deliver effective solutions.
• Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicating technical concepts effectively.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver solutions within agreed timelines
• Experience with Python, Spark, data pipelines or large-scale data processing.
• Familiarity with other modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or Vue.js.
