Education:

Bachelor's degree. or equivalent experience.

Work setting:

Tasks:

  • Administrative and office activities.
  • Perform administrative tasks.
  • Conduct social research.
  • Conduct individual and group counselling sessions.
  • Establish registry of special needs support workers.
  • Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients.
  • Develop service intervention logic models and outcome measures.
  • Maintain program statistics for purposes of evaluation and research.
  • Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of treatment programs.
  • Assist clients/guests with special needs.
  • Accompany clients to appointments and social outings.
  • Offer mentoring.
  • Supervise peer counselling programs.
  • Prepare funding and grant applications and proposals.
  • Plan, develop and implement training and practice sessions.

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses :

  • First Aid Certificate.
  • CPR Certificate.
