The opportunity

We are recruiting exclusively for a Customer Service Executive to join a small, friendly team within a busy pharmaceutical business. This is a junior-level opportunity with genuine scope to build knowledge across customer service, compliance, logistics and supply chain. You will support approximately 120 customers across the retail pharmacy and hospital markets. The role is varied and detail-focused: you could be processing an order, investigating a delivery query, checking stock or pricing, supporting a licensing request, or researching regulatory information.

What you will be doing

  • Process customer orders accurately and issue order confirmations in line with agreed terms and conditions.
  • Respond to customer enquiries by email and telephone, taking ownership until each query is resolved.
  • Investigate delivery, invoice, pricing, stock and account queries by working with internal teams and the external warehouse.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, logs and supporting administration.
  • Support licensing, declarations and compliance administration using relevant government and regulatory portals.
  • Liaise with retail pharmacies, pharmaceutical wholesalers and NHS hospital customers across England, Scotland and Wales.
  • Escalate supply issues quickly where contractual service levels may be affected.

What we are looking for

  • Experience in a customer-facing role, such as customer service, reception, front of house or office support.
  • A mature, positive attitude and a genuine willingness to learn.
  • Confidence speaking with customers and asking questions when something does not look right.
  • Strong common sense, curiosity and the confidence to investigate before responding.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach, with a commitment to doing the right thing for the customer.
  • Good computer literacy and working knowledge of Excel.
  • A stable work history and reasonable standard of education.
  • SAP experience would be helpful but is not essential, as training can be provided.

Benefits

  • 25 days annual leave, with holiday taken over the Christmas closure as required.
  • Workplace pension through salary sacrifice.
  • Private healthcare and dental cover.
  • Company car scheme.
  • Internal competitions and non-contractual rewards.
  • Monthly birthday takeaway and fresh fruit provided each week.
  • Opportunities to develop into areas such as supply chain and quality.

The team

You will report to the Customer Service Manager and work closely with an experienced Supervisor and the wider commercial team. It is a small team where people support one another, share ideas and enjoy getting to know each other. Personality, reliability and a collaborative attitude matter.

How to apply

If you are confident with customers, comfortable working with detail and ready to learn a specialist industry, apply today. Successful applicants will complete two in-person interviews: an initial meeting with the hiring manager followed by an HR interview.
