Lead SME - Cryptography

The Lead SME – Cryptography role is part of a global Service Delivery - Cryptography team, responsible for delivering and supporting cryptographic solutions and consultations on a worldwide scale. The position involves managing processes related to TLS/SSL certificates, SSH keys, and supporting cryptographic projects across the organization.

Daily tasks

• Identify process gaps and escalate issues as needed.
• Assess risks of changes and propose mitigation strategies.
• Lead the change implementation process in collaboration with vendors and internal teams.
• Prepare reports from multiple data sources to monitor and resolve issues.
• Handle ServiceNow requests within agreed SLAs.
• Provide global cryptography consulting services to internal customers.
• Troubleshoot TLS certificates generation and connection issues between Venafi TPP and target servers.
• Support non-standard queries and provide timely responses to urgent production issues.

Requirements

Hands-on experience with Venafi platform or TLS/SSH key management.

Customer and stakeholder focus with the ability to build strong relationships.

Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently under pressure.

Excellent understanding of IT infrastructure technologies.

Knowledge of cryptography, network protocols, and data security.

Strong Python scripting and SQL/MySQL skills.

Ability to create thorough technical documentation.

Nice to Have

Knowledge of HTML, CSS.

Experience with API integration and cURL commands.

Familiarity with Splunk.
