Job Summary

You will support primary school students by supervising their homework/ spelling / 听写, delivering enrichment programs, planning engaging activities for the school holidays, managing classrooms, communicating with parents, and most importantly, ensuring student safety and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support P1-P6 students with their homework, spelling/听写 revision and tests, monitor academic progress and ensure their well-being and safety during Centre hours
• Deliver weekly in-house enrichment programs such as Star Reading, Global Affairs, Scientific Inquiry, Impression Arts, and T.I.T.A.N.S. to enhance student learning in our Centre.
• To guide students with revision work on our AI Infinity Learning Platform.
• Develop and execute lesson plans incorporating core curriculum support, enrichment activities, outdoor and recreational programs to promote holistic student development.
• Plan, discuss and implement holiday programs with engaging activities that foster student participation and growth.
• Manage classroom environment by setting clear behavior rules to maintain a conducive learning atmosphere.
• Communicate regularly and promptly with parents regarding their child’s academic progress and well-being.
• Maintain safety protocols and ensure student safety and well-being at all times while under the Centre's care.
• To work as a good team player.
• Perform housekeeping and ad-hoc administrative tasks as assigned by the Centre Manager

Required competencies and certifications

• Experience in teaching primary school students, preferably in a community-based student care centre
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken) and preferably also Chinese (written and spoken) to guide students effectively with homework and assessments
• Flexibility to work morning shift (from 7am) and/or longer hours during school holidays.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• A good team player with positive disposition and good classroom management skills.
• Nurturing attitude, and a passion for working with children.
• Students awaiting tertiary education results with a passion for teaching may be considered for part-time roles during school holidays
