Job Summary
Meddy is hiring part-time medical companions in Singapore to support patients during hospital and clinic visits by assisting with mobility, accompanying them through appointments, and updating their families.
Responsibilities
- Meet patients at home or clinic as scheduled to begin appointments
- Accompany patients through registration, consultation, tests, and pharmacy visits to ensure smooth navigation
- Provide mobility assistance such as walking support and wheelchair help to enhance patient safety and comfort
- Accurately note doctor’s instructions and relay visit details to clients for clear communication
- Update and check in on each assignment to maintain accurate records and client satisfaction
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience in healthcare or caregiving roles such as nursing, healthcare assistance, caregiving, medical social work, eldercare, or formal healthcare training
- Good spoken and written English, to communicate with clinic staff and send client a clear summary after each visit
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin, Malay, Tamil, or a Chinese dialect to better support patients comfortable in these languages
