Production Team Lead

Experienced manufacturing leader responsible for overseeing shift operations, leading and supporting production team members, and ensuring safety, quality, and production goals are met. Serves as the first point of contact for production and equipment issues, monitors efficiencies and downtime, maintains accurate production records, and promotes continuous improvement through Lean and 5S practices. Works closely with supervisors to manage staffing needs, improve operational performance, and maintain a safe, organized work environment. Ideal candidates have manufacturing experience (preferably packaging), strong problem-solving skills, leadership abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Responsibilities: Provides leadership and training to accomplish Mauser production goals, objectives to all employees regarding safety, quality, production, and maintenance. May conduct and/or participate in safety meetings. Conducts observations to identify safety issues and follows up as necessary with appropriate team members. Works with the Production Supervisor to ensure vacancies are covered for any planned /unplanned. Establishes and monitors shift performance for safety, quality, and production standards. Fill out production paperwork accurately and monitor output goals around efficiencies, downtime, inventory, and overall production. Works with other team members to control and improve efficiency, minimize labor overtime, downtime, and repair expenses. Promote shop floor organization, plant housekeeping, with employees utilizing lean techniques such as 5S with shift personnel. Acts as the first point of contact for operators regarding mechanical failures or production issues. May conduct tooling components inventory reviews to ensure proper tools and/or parts are available for use in the event they are needed. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements: Experience in a manufacturing environment; preferably a packaging environment. Embraces continuous improvement. Self-directed team player. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Flexibility to work multiple shifts. Key Responsibilities: Supervision and Leadership: Oversee and direct the work of other team members. Assign tasks, provide guidance, and ensure work is completed efficiently and effectively. Pay: The range is $24.00 – $26.00 per hour.
