Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support for structural steel construction projects.
- Coordinate and supervise structural steel fabrication, delivery, erection and installation works.
- Review structural drawings, shop drawings, specifications and technical requirements.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.
- Monitor project progress, quality and technical compliance.
- Assist with site inspections, measurements, testing and rectification works.
- Identify and resolve technical and site issues.
- Prepare method statements, technical submissions, reports and project documentation.
- Ensure structural steel works comply with approved drawings, specifications and relevant standards.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in structural steel construction preferred.
- Good knowledge of structural steel fabrication, welding, bolting and erection works.
- Able to read and understand structural and construction drawings.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and relevant engineering software is an advantage.
- Good technical, coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with project and site teams.
- Willing to work on construction sites when required.
