Technical HSE Engineer

Location

Doha, Qatar

Contract role: 12-month contract with potential for extension - 5 days per week

Key responsibilities

Develop hazardous area schedules in line with relevant industry standards

Prepare hazardous area classification (HAC) drawings, including plans and side views

Interpret and work from P&IDs and H&M balances

Prepare firefighting and safety equipment layouts for offshore facilities

Develop escape and evacuation layouts and safety signage layouts

Communicate requirements clearly to drafting teams for layout preparation

Ensure deliverables are completed on time and in line with agreed schedules

Requirements

Degree in engineering

10-18 years of experience in technical safety

Strong experience in hazardous area classification and related engineering standards

Ability to understand and apply information from material safety data sheets (MSDS)

Familiarity with industry standards for hazardous area classification

Experience with offshore safety and layout design

Good communication and reporting skills with a proactive attitude

Ability to work collaboratively with draftsmen and other stakeholders

Strong sense of accountability and responsibility for meeting deadlines
