Job Summary:
We are seeking a System/Concept Design Engineer to provide system engineering support for new product architecture and concept development, including system sizing, modeling, trade studies, subsystem allocation, preliminary interfaces, performance and cost evaluation, risk/hazard analysis, early validation planning, and readiness for Concept Design Review (CDR). Key Responsibilities:
Perform system-level sizing and engineering assessments.
Support analytical and modeling activities to evaluate design concepts.
Generate and evaluate architecture concepts and alternatives.
Conduct trade studies considering performance, cost, technical feasibility, risk, and integration impacts.
Support allocation of system requirements to subsystems.
Define preliminary system, subsystem, and external interfaces.
Assess system-level performance against defined requirements and acceptance criteria.
Support preliminary cost and design-to-cost assessments.
Participate in technical risk and hazard identification, including FMEA or other applicable risk-analysis methods.
Develop early V&V strategies and identify validation needs.
