• Buildandleadahigh-performingAppliedAIEngineeringteam,establishingitsoperatingmodel,engagementstrategy,technicalstandards,andlong-termvision.
• Partnerwithproductteams,customers,andbusinessstakeholderstounderstandexistingworkflows,identifyopportunitiesforautomation,andtranslateoperationalchallengesintopracticalAIsolutions.
• Leadrapiddiscovery,experimentation,andprototyping,ensuringsuccessfulconceptstransitionefficientlyintoreliableproductionsystemsacrossmultipleenterpriseprojects.
• Architect,develop,deploy,andmaintainproduction-gradeAIapplications,includingagenticworkflows,chatbots,copilots,agent-assisttools,andtraditionalmachinelearningmodels.
• Designmodular,reusableintegrationsthatenableAIagentstosecurelyaccessenterprisesystemsandinternaldatawhileenforcingleast-privilegeaccesscontrols.
• OwntheAIevaluationlifecyclebyestablishingbenchmarkdatasets,offlineandonlineevaluations,regressiontesting,human-in-the-loopvalidation,andproduction-readinesscriteria.
• Collaboratewithcloudanddataengineeringteamstomanageproductionoperations,includingCI/CDpipelines,observability,tracing,incidentresponse,latencymanagement,andinferencecostoptimization.
• WorkcloselywithRisk,Compliance,Legal,andInformationSecurityteamstoensureAIsolutionsareexplainable,auditable,secure,andalignedwithapplicablefinancialservicesregulations.
• DefineresponsibleAIprinciples,securityguardrails,governanceprocesses,andtechnicalarchitecturesthatsupportsustainableandcompliantAIadoption.
• Provideregularupdatestoseniorleadershipthroughclearreporting,performanceindicators,andmeasurableassessmentsofbusinessimpact.
• Stayhands-onwithtechnicalexecution,troubleshootingcomplexproductionissues,resolvingengineeringbottlenecks,andguidingtheteamthroughcriticalimplementationchallenges.
• Fosteracultureoftechnicalexcellence,continuouslearning,accountability,andcollaborationwhilerecruiting,coaching,anddevelopingengineeringtalent.

Anforderungen

• Bachelor'sdegreeinComputerScience,Engineering,orarelateddiscipline,orequivalentpracticalexperience.
• Atleast10yearsofexperienceinsoftwareengineering,machinelearning,orarelatedtechnicalfield,includingexperienceincustomer-facingorbusiness-embeddedengineeringrolessuchassolutionsengineering,professionalservices,orforward-deployedengineering.
• Atleast2yearsofexperiencebuildinganddeployingproductionsystemspoweredbylargelanguagemodels(LLMs),includingatleastoneagenticorconversationalapplicationusedbyrealcustomersorbusinessusers.
• Atleast4yearsofhands-onengineeringmanagementexperience,withademonstratedtrackrecordofhiring,developing,coaching,andmentoringhigh-performingteams.
• Strongsoftwareengineeringfundamentalsandtheabilitytopersonallydebug,troubleshoot,andresolvecomplexissuesinproductionAIsystems.
• Practicalexpertiseincode-levelAISDKsandagentframeworks,suchasLangGraph,CrewAI,orAWSStrandsAgents,withtheabilitytoselectappropriatetechnologiesratherthanrelyingexclusivelyonno-codetools.
• StrongunderstandingofproductionAIapplicationarchitecture,includingtoolandfunctioncalling,retrieval-augmentedgeneration(RAG),vectorsearch,structuredoutputs,conversationandstatemanagement,andtheappropriateuseofdeterministicworkflows.
• Cloudengineeringexperience,preferablywithAWS,includingmanagedAIservicessuchasBedrockAgentCore,containerizeddeployments,identityandaccessmanagement(IAM),networking,andcostoptimization.
• ProvenexperiencedeployingandmaintainingproductionAIsystems,withexpertiseinCI/CD,observability,tracing,incidentmanagement,latencyoptimization,andoperationalcostcontrols.
• Experienceintegratingsystematicevaluationintothedevelopmentlifecyclethroughtestdatasets,regressiontesting,humanreview,andongoingmeasurementofproductionquality.
• StrongunderstandingofAIsecurity,includingpromptinjectiondefenses,least-privilegepermissions,audittrails,andhuman-in-the-loopcontrols.
• Familiaritywithfinancialservicescomplianceandsecurityframeworks,includingModelRiskManagement,SOC2,PCIDSS,andtheGramm-Leach-BlileyAct(GLBA).
• Exceptionalleadership,analyticalthinking,andproblem-solvingskills,withtheabilitytocommunicatecomplextechnicalconceptsclearlytoexecutives,engineeringteams,andnontechnicalstakeholders.
• Demonstratedabilitytobalancestrategicplanningwithhands-onexecution,managecompetingpriorities,anddeliverresultsinafast-moving,evolvingbusinessenvironment.
