DevOps Engineer

Job Description — Middle DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Manage, maintain, and monitor infrastructure and application environments (Development, UAT, Production).
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application deployment and release automation.
• Perform deployment, configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization of applications and infrastructure.
• Manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and resource utilization, and perform incident troubleshooting.
• Manage and maintain Apache Kafka, including topic, partition, consumer/producer, and basic troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with Development, QA, Security, and Infrastructure teams to ensure reliable application delivery.
• Implement infrastructure automation and configuration management using appropriate DevOps tools.
• Perform system hardening, patching, backup, and other operational activities as required.
• Maintain technical documentation related to infrastructure, deployment, monitoring, and operational procedures.

Job Requirements

Mandatory:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer / DevOps Specialist or similar role.
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience with Apache Kafka.
• Strong experience with Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience in building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Git and Git-based workflow.
• Experience with scripting/automation using Shell/Bash, Python, or similar.
• Understanding of networking, system monitoring, troubleshooting, and application infrastructure.
• Good understanding of Kafka concepts, including topics, partitions, brokers, producers, consumers, consumer groups, and offsets.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred / Nice to Have:

• Experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, or similar tools.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, ELK/EFK, or similar.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or other Infrastructure as Code/configuration management tools.
• Experience with Kafka monitoring and performance troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Helm and Kubernetes deployment management.
