Our work in the Petrolia area involves providing one-to-one security support in *Long-Term Care homes*, where our Security Guards play an important role in helping maintain a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Hughes Intelligence also provides security services in Long-Term Care, industrial, commercial, retail, and special event settings throughout *Sarnia-Lambton and surrounding areas*. While this position is being advertised for Petrolia, successful candidates may also be scheduled at client locations in *Sarnia and surrounding communities* based on operational needs.

Availability Requirements ? Please Read Before Applying

We are hiring for both *Full-Time and Part-Time positions*.

Whether applying for Full-Time or Part-Time employment, applicants must have regular availability to be scheduled on:

• *Fridays*
• *Saturdays*
• *Sundays*

Applicants must also be flexible with their shift availability. Depending on client needs, you may be scheduled for *day, afternoon, or night shifts*.

Scheduling and hours are based on client and operational needs. Typical shifts range from *8 to 12 hours*, although shift lengths may vary by assignment.

*Full-Time applicants* should have broad availability throughout the week in addition to the required Friday, Saturday, and Sunday availability.

*Part-Time applicants* must maintain regular Friday, Saturday, and Sunday availability and be able to work a variety of shift times based on client needs.

• A *Vulnerable Sector Check issued within the last 6 months*. Please note that we specifically require a *Vulnerable Sector Check*, not a Criminal Record Check or Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check.
• A *recent TB test/check* suitable for working in a Long-Term Care setting.

Having these documents ready may allow successful candidates to begin Long-Term Care assignments sooner.

Security Guard Responsibilities

• Provide professional security services at Long-Term Care homes and other client locations.
• Provide one-to-one security support for Long-Term Care residents who require additional supervision.
• Help maintain the safety and security of residents, staff, visitors, and property.
• Conduct patrols and monitor access control where required.
• Monitor surveillance and alarm systems where applicable.
• Respond professionally to incidents and emergencies.
• Complete accurate shift reports, incident reports, and other required documentation.
• Follow and enforce client policies, post orders, and site procedures.
• Assist with screening procedures when required.
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a professional appearance and attitude.

Required Qualifications

• Valid *Ontario Security Guard Licence*.
• Valid *Standard First Aid & CPR certification* (Red Cross or equivalent).
• Valid driver's licence.
• Reliable transportation to travel to assigned client sites.
