The organisation is on a journey to consolidate and rationalise its disparate and standalone business application systems and data into its Dynamics Platform across commercial, marketing, customer service, field service and other business functions.

Role Purpose

We are seeking an adaptable and experienced Full-Stack Developer with enterprise experience to develop, integrate and support Glen Dimplex’s digital platforms. The role covers front-end development, back-end services, cloud applications, application programming interfaces, system integrations, automated deployments and production support.

The developer will take ownership of assigned projects and integrations throughout their lifecycle, from requirements and solution design through development, testing, deployment, monitoring and continuous improvement. 

Key Accountabilities

Front End Development

Evolve the front-end architecture, ensuring solutions remain maintainable, scalable and platform-agnostic.

Build responsive, accessible user interfaces and reusable front-end components using modern frameworks and headless CMS platforms.

Use modern web development tools and technologies to build and improve websites, apps and other digital products.

Optimise performance, accessibility, consent and analytics tracking. 

Back-End Development

Develop and support applications, APIs, integration services and automation solutions.

Work with databases, APIs and cloud services to deliver reliable, maintainable and high performing solutions.

Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation technologies to improve customer experiences, internal processes and developer productivity.

Integration Development

Design and implement API-first solutions, integration services and automation workflows that connect business platforms and reduce manual processes.

Use APIs, webhooks, messaging, middleware and scheduled processes to support realtime and batch integration.

Implement validation, error handling, logging and recovery to keep integrations reliable and secure.

Cloud Engineering & DevOps

Develop and support cloud-based applications and services using Microsoft Azure. 

Use Azure Functions and related services for hosting, storage, messaging, APIs and monitoring. 

Maintain source code in approved GitHub or Azure DevOps repositories. 

Build automated testing, code quality and deployment pipelines. 

Support controlled releases, documentation and rollback procedures.

Security & Quality

Adhere to industry best practices by writing clean, maintainable code. 

Develop automated tests and conduct thorough unit and integration testing to resolve defects and reduce technical debt.

Collaboration & Way of Working

Engage collaboratively with Digital, BI, Marketing and Product teams to gather and refine requirements. 

Promote product innovation by identifying technical improvements and adopting emerging solutions, keeping integrations ahead of industry trends.

Contribute to sprint planning and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.

Collaborate with external development and support partners where required.

Support the migration and modernisation of digital platforms, including front-end applications, CMS platforms and supporting integrations.

Reliable and accessible front-end components and digital experiences. 

Delivery of reliable, secure and scalable solutions.

Improved platform performance and integration reliability.

Reduced production defects, integration failures and technical debt.

High-quality documentation and knowledge sharing. 

Delivery against agreed sprint and project commitments. 

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Technical Experience Required

5 – 8 years' experience in full-stack development in an enterprise environment.

Strong experience with React, Next.js, Node.js, TypeScript and modern web development frameworks.

Experience building and consuming REST APIs.

Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and Azure Functions.

Knowledge of CI/CD, Git and DevOps practices.

Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Desirable

Experience with PHP, Drupal and legacy platform modernisation.

Experience integrating with ERP, PIM or eCommerce platforms. 

Understanding of web security, accessibility and GDPR requirements.

Travel
