Key Responsibilities Event Planning & Execution
- Lead all private dining, community, and promotional events from inquiry through execution.
- Coordinate logistics, timelines, staffing, equipment, décor, table setups, signage, and event materials.
- Ensure every event reflects the Fixins brand and delivers an exceptional guest experience.
- Be present and lead on-site during events, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Identify opportunities to create and host signature events throughout the year, including:
o Black History Month
o Juneteenth celebrations
o Film premieres and studio events
o Artist and celebrity appearances
o Community partnerships
o Corporate networking events
Business Development & Community Relations
- Build and maintain relationships with:
o Downtown Los Angeles businesses
o Hotels and concierge teams
o Film studios and entertainment companies
o Conference organizers
o Local organizations and nonprofits
- Develop new catering and private event opportunities.
- Promote Fixins as a destination for corporate lunches, board meetings, celebrations, and special occasions.
- Represent the restaurant at networking events and within the local business community.
Marketing & Social Media
- Manage the Fixins Los Angeles social media presence.
- Create engaging content showcasing events, menu features, guests, and community involvement.
- Work with leadership to execute local marketing campaigns that drive traffic and brand awareness.
- Assist with promotional materials including table tents, signage, and in-store marketing displays.
Restaurant Operations
- Serve as a working member of the management team during restaurant operations.
- Assist on the host stand during peak business periods.
- Train, coach, and support the host team to deliver exceptional hospitality.
- Maintain high standards for presentation and guest experience throughout the restaurant.
- Collaborate closely with managers, kitchen leadership, and staff to ensure seamless event execution.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in event management, hospitality, restaurant management, or marketing.
- Existing relationships within the Los Angeles hospitality, entertainment, or corporate community or a proven ability to form them.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Experience with social media management and content creation.
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to identify new business opportunities.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Passion for hospitality, community engagement, and creating unforgettable guest experiences.
- Must have a Food Handler’s Card and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification if required by law (Certifications differ per state)
Physical Requirements
