Job description

Roles & responsibilities

Key responsibilities:

Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and engineering controls.

Conduct detailed risk assessments, hazard analysis, and safety studies (e.g., HAZOP, JSA).

Design and recommend safety systems, equipment, and processes.

Ensure compliance with local, national, and international safety standards.

Review engineering designs and project plans for safety compliance.

Conduct safety audits, inspections, and performance monitoring.

Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses; identify root causes and corrective actions.

Collaborate with engineering, operations, and project teams to improve safety measures.

Provide technical guidance on safety-related matters.

Prepare and maintain safety reports, documentation, and compliance records.

Support emergency preparedness and response planning.
