Overview
Join the Network Diagram team and help shape advanced network visualization and analysis capabilities across ArcGIS. We’re looking for a Senior Product Engineer who combines strong analytical skills, domain curiosity, and a passion for building high-quality, user-centered software.
In this role, you will play a key part in defining, validating, and communicating Network Diagram capabilities, with a strong focus on integration with Utility Network workflows. You will collaborate closely with development teams to refine requirements, influence product design, and ensure a seamless and effective user experience. You will also contribute to the quality of the product through thoughtful validation, exploratory testing, and real-world scenario analysis.
This is a highly collaborative role that blends product thinking, domain expertise, and hands-on investigation to deliver meaningful value to our users.
Responsibilities
Build deep expertise in Network Diagrams and Utility Network workflows, contributing to product direction and design decisions
Collaborate with engineering teams to refine requirements, scenarios, and expected system behavior
Use domain knowledge and AI-assisted analysis to explore workflows, identify gaps, and improve user experience
Validate capabilities through exploratory, scenario-based, and data-driven approaches grounded in real-world use cases
Apply sound testing practices and use scripting and AI-assisted techniques to improve coverage and efficiency
Identify, reproduce, and help resolve issues in collaboration with development teams
Investigate customer-reported issues using real workflows and AI-assisted analysis to accelerate understanding and resolution
Evaluate product behavior using utility and network scenarios to drive meaningful improvements
Contribute to best practices that support successful customer adoption of Network Diagram capabilities
Create clear, high-quality documentation, guidance, and examples that support user success
Communicate complex technical concepts effectively across teams and to users
Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve clarity, consistency, and efficiency in content and communication
Requirements
5+ years of experience in a GIS, software development, or related technical environment
Experience with network visualization, diagrams, or schematics
Experience with utility or telecommunications networks and their data models and workflows
Experience with Python for scripting and automation
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex systems and workflows
Solid understanding of software quality practices and validation approaches
Good understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies
Proven ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
Strong organizational skills and ability to drive work independently
Ability to effectively use modern tools, including AI-assisted workflows, to enhance productivity
Bachelor’s degree in GIS, engineering, computer science, or a related field
Existing work authorization for France
Recommended Qualifications
Familiarity with ArcGIS, especially ArcGIS Pro and Utility Network
Experience working with relational or geospatial databases
Programming experience in C#
Experience contributing to technical documentation or user guidance
Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in a relevant field
