INTERPRETER
Job Responsibilities of CHINESE INTERPRETER/TRANSLATOR:
- Provide onsite Chinese-English and English-Tagalog interpretation between Chinese management, Filipino employees, government officials, community representatives, and project stakeholders.
- Provide interpretation during work meetings, technical briefings, safety orientations, site inspections, trainings, and external coordination.
- Translate project documents, reports, correspondence, contracts, regulations, operation manuals, HSE materials, and government submissions.
- Provide English-Tagalog and Tagalog-English translation when required.
- Participate in regular meetings, special meetings, training sessions, emergency drills, and other project activities.
- Prepare bilingual meeting minutes and other documentation.
- Assist project management in communication with local government agencies, including DOLE, DENR, DOE, and LGUs.
- Support community relations and owner visits.
- Help the Chinese team understand Philippine culture, regulations, administrative procedures, and business practices.
- Assist in resolving communication or cultural misunderstandings.
- Perform other translation and administrative duties assigned by management.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Chinese-Filipino citizen with legal work status.
- 25-40 years old, MALE.
- College degree or above, preferably in Translation, Linguistics, English Education, Communications, or related fields.
- Fluent spoken Chinese with HSK Level 4 or above, or equivalent.
- Proficient in Chinese-English interpretation and translation.
- Strong English communication skills, including report and formal correspondence writing.
- Native or near-native Tagalog.
- At least 2 years of full-time interpretation/translation experience.
- Power, energy, or infrastructure experience is an advantage.
- Government, community, or owner liaison experience is highly preferred.
- Strong listening, memory, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work under pressure and on-site.
- Willing to stay onsite and work flexible hours.
- Candidates residing near Bugallon are preferred.
