Data Engineer

The role:

As a Data Engineer, you translate complex data challenges into high-quality, end-to-end data solutions. You understand the customer's needs and easily navigate complex data environments. Your pipelines and data structures are correct, performant, and built to last.

What you’ll do:

• Analyse business needs and translate them into powerful data formats, flows, and models.
• Design, implement, and maintain robust Data Warehouses and ETL infrastructures.
• Develop, test, and optimize ETL jobs to seamlessly integrate multiple data sources.
• Collaborate with the team to focus on innovation and continuous improvement of our data structures.
• Stay on top of data engineering evolutions and share knowledge within the team.

Skills we’re looking for

Must-have:

• Knowledge and hands-on experience with ETL processes and building data pipelines.
• Solid experience with Data Warehouse environments and data architecture.
• Strong programming skills and solid experience with SQL querying.

Nice-to-have:

• Knowledge of specific data modeling methodologies like Data Vault or Kimball.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Google BigQuery, or Oracle.
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools or the implementation and maintenance of dashboards.

Languages:

• Fluent in Dutch or French, with a strong knowledge of English.
