You Have (Requirements):
7 or more years’ experience in public accounting with an emphasis in High Net-Worth Taxation.
• Degree in Accounting or related field (Master’s degree a plus)
• EA pr CPA license Mandatory
• Extensive experience in researching complex tax issues and exposure to a variety of entities and industries.
• Possess a strong desire to learn.
• Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Demonstrates proactive thinking.
• Experience developing and training senior and associate level professionals.
• Technical skillsets: SurePrep, CCH / GoSystems / Fasttax / Lacerte Software, BNA.
• Research skills like Checkpoint, BNA, Bloomberg, and Written Tax research memos.
• Individual skillset: Hedge Fund / K-1, Good knowledge on International Forms (8938, 5471, 8621, 5472, 8858, 8865), {Gift Tax Return, Form 990 (Not Mandatory)}
You Will (Job Responsibilities):
• Provide tax compliance and consulting to privately held companies and high net worth individuals.
• Develop and deliver innovative financial planning ideas that meet or exceed client expectations.
• Oversee complex tax research projects for a variety of clients and diverse industries.
• Work with clients to minimize their federal, state, and local tax liability.
• Supervise tax professionals’ assignments and manage the day-to-day delivery of tax consulting services to the client.
• Develop and motivate tax seniors and associates by reviewing their work and providing them with counseling, leadership, and career guidance.
