What you'll do

• Write lots of code for backend (either Kotlin or Python) and frontend (React, Redux, Typescript) with high degree of proficiency
• Design software and contribute to implementation.
• Work cross functionally with Product, Analytics and other engineering teams across Affirm.
• Build APIs and data models to work according to the defined service oriented architecture.

What we look for

• 6+ years of experience as a full stack sr. software engineer in backend (Python or Kotlin) and frontend
• Strong understanding of any relational database system best practices.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and how architectural decisions affect performance and maintainability
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Project management skills–high degree of organization and ability to surface critical information effectively.
• Experience with AWS and/or other cloud providers is a plus
