Research and Development Associate

Key Responsibilities

1. New Product Development (NPD)

•Lead and supervise the research and development of innovative food products that meet customer needs and market demands. •Manage product development projects from concept to commercialization.

1. Process Design & Optimization

•Design and improve production processes to ensure consistent product quality and manufacturing efficiency. •Work closely with the production team to scale up formulations from laboratory to mass production.

1. Product Testing & Continuous Improvement

•Oversee product trials, sensory evaluations, and quality testing to ensure compliance with standards. •Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance, stability, and cost efficiency.

1. Market Trend & Consumer Insights

•Monitor food industry trends, emerging ingredients, and consumer preferences. •Identify opportunities for innovation and new product concepts.

1. Cross-Functional Collaboration

•Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, Quality Assurance, and Production teams to successfully launch new products. •Provide technical expertise and support for product positioning and marketing strategies.

Job Summary

The R&D Supervisor is responsible for leading the development of new food products, improving existing formulations, and ensuring products meet quality, safety, and market requirements. This role supervises research and development activities, coordinates with cross-functional teams, and drives innovation aligned with consumer trends and business objectives.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field. 3–7 years of experience in food product development or R&D. Strong knowledge of food formulation, processing, and quality standards. Experience in new product development (NPD) and product commercialization. Strong problem-solving, project management, and leadership skills.
