*Summary*
Mamawatoskewin (Community Prevention) is a program administered under the supervision of Alexander Social Development. The purpose is aimed at improving the safety and holistic well-being of Alexander First Nation. This program focus? on family violence prevention and community-based supports, ensuring services are culturally relevant and responsive to local needs. Mamawatoskewin is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic member to join our Community Connections program.
*Core Responsibilities:*
- Conduct a needs assessment to identify client requirements and refer to appropriate programs (healthcare, financial assistance, childcare, employment or social services)
- Develop individualized service plans, implement goals and monitor progress
- Build relationships with local organizations and enhance access to resources
- Maintain accurate records including progress reports, notes and service plans
- Must possess the skills to engage with clientele
- Must demonstrate organizational skills for managing multiple clients & time management
- Must possess leadership skills
*Required skills and qualifications:*
- Certificate/ diploma in related field and/or extensive experience
- Proficient in Microsoft office products
- Experience working with high-risk youth
- Must have the ability to work independently
- Strong de-escalation skills
- Able to establish and maintain positive working relationships with others
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Exhibit professional behavior
- Must have class 5 driver?s license & reliable vehicle
- Must produce a clear driver abstract, criminal record and child intervention check
