QA/QC Manager / Food Safety Manager
Lead and manage the factory QA/QC and Food Safety teams .
Maintain and continuously improve the company's Food Safety and Quality Management System .
Ensure compliance with FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP, GHP, IFS/BRCGS principles , and applicable customer requirements.
Manage food safety plans, HACCP studies, risk assessments, prerequisite programs, and verification activities.
Review and approve: Raw material specifications
Finished product specifications
Packaging specifications
Product labels and ingredient declarations
Certificates of Analysis
Production and quality records
Supervise incoming raw material, in-process, and finished-product inspections.
Ensure proper control of critical process parameters ,
customer complaints, non-conformities, deviations, and product failures using structured root-cause analysis and CAPA .
Manage product holds, releases, traceability, withdrawal, and recall procedures.
Lead internal audits and coordinate external audits from certification bodies, regulatory authorities, customers, and multinational retailers.
Manage supplier approval, supplier audits, raw-material risk assessment, and supplier performance monitoring.
Monitor laboratory testing, microbiological testing, chemical analysis, pesticide residues, heavy metals, allergens, and other applicable product-safety requirements.
Ensure effective allergen management, foreign-body control, glass and brittle-plastic control, pest management, sanitation, and environmental monitoring programs.
Review production deviations and have the authority to stop or hold production where food safety or product conformity is at risk .
Establish and monitor Quality KPIs and report trends and corrective actions to senior management.
Train production and quality employees on GMP, food safety, hygiene, HACCP, quality standards, and customer requirements.
Work closely with Production, Agriculture, Procurement, Maintenance, R&D, Export, and Supply Chain teams.
Drive a strong factory-wide quality and food-safety culture .
Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science / Food Technology, Agriculture, Chemistry
10+ years of QUALITY experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a managerial role — food and beverage industry experience strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of canning/filling lines, seamers, retorts/sterilizers, and boilers is a plus
Hands-on experience with preventive Quality systems
Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills
Good command of English; proficiency in MS Office/Excel
Obour City / Greater Cairo residents preferred
