Estate Operative

(Permanent) Location: Canary Wharf Salary: £28,887.24 per year Hours: 6:00am to 3:00pm (unpaid lunch break) Shift Pattern: 4 Days On, 2 Days Off Holiday: 28 Days Including Bank Holidays Uniform Provided: Including Safety Boots Start Date: ASAP About the Role We are currently recruiting for a permanent Estate Operative to join a residential development in E14. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and hardworking individual who takes pride in maintaining high standards across communal areas and providing excellent customer service to residents and visitors. Key Responsibilities Maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of all internal and external communal areas. Litter picking, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and pressure washing where required. Managing waste and recycling areas, including moving bins for collection days. Carrying out estate inspections and reporting maintenance issues or health and safety concerns. Ensuring entrances, walkways, car parks, and landscaped areas are clean, safe, and presentable. Assisting residents, visitors, and contractors in a professional and courteous manner. Supporting the wider estate team with day-to-day operational duties. Completing basic maintenance and minor repair tasks where required. Adhering to all health and safety procedures and company policies. Maintaining a high level of customer service at all times. About You Previous experience as an Estate Operative, Caretaker, Cleaner, Grounds Maintenance Operative, Facilities Assistant, or similar role is desirable. Strong work ethic with a proactive approach. Good understanding of health and safety practices. Excellent timekeeping and reliability. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
