Academics, an established Education Agency, are acting as an agency and are recruiting Key Stage 2 Higher Level Teaching Assistants for temporary, ongoing supply work across primary schools in Rotherham.
Aufgaben
This opportunity is ideal for someone who can confidently support pupils in Years 3 to 6, deliver planned learning and help keep lessons on track. From supporting targeted interventions to stepping up to lead a class when needed, you could make a real difference across a range of Rotherham schools.
As a Key Stage 2 Higher Level Teaching Assistant in Rotherham, you will support learning across Years 3, 4, 5 and 6. Depending on the school, you may lead pre-prepared lessons, work with small groups or deliver interventions to help pupils strengthen their understanding.
The role may also involve supporting classroom organisation, encouraging positive behaviour and helping pupils prepare for the transition to secondary education. Duties will depend on the requirements of each Rotherham school.
- Support learning across Key Stage 2
- Lead pre-planned lessons and activities where required
- Deliver targeted literacy and numeracy interventions
- Promote positive behaviour and active participation
- Help pupils develop confidence and independent learning skills
- Work closely with class teachers and other support staff
Anforderungen
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or Higher Level Teaching Assistant
- Relevant HLTA qualification or suitable experience for the role
- Experience supporting KS2 pupils
- Confidence leading lessons and supporting classroom management
- Good communication, organisation and teamwork skills
- Enhanced DBS Certificate or willingness to obtain one
