Driver cum Upholstery Cleaner
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Working Schedule: 6-day work week Monthly Salary: S$2,800–S$3,200 Overtime and variable incentives: Payable separately, where applicable
JOB OVERVIEW
We are looking for a responsible and service-oriented Operations Driver cum Upholstery Cleaning Technician to support our daily cleaning and logistics operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving company vehicles, transporting cleaning personnel, equipment and supplies, and providing professional upholstery cleaning services at customers’ premises.
Training on upholstery cleaning, equipment operation, curtain dismantling and installation will be provided.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive a manual-transmission company van or lorry to transport cleaning equipment, tools, supplies and other operational items.
- Pick up and transport cleaning team members between assigned locations when required.
- Plan daily travel routes and ensure timely arrival at customers’ premises.
- Load, unload and handle cleaning machines, equipment, tools and supplies safely.
- Conduct upholstery cleaning services for sofas, mattresses, carpets, soft toys and other upholstered items after completing the required training.
- Operate vacuuming, steam-cleaning and other professional cleaning equipment safely.
- Dismantle and reinstall curtains at customers’ premises after completing the required training.
- Perform basic cleaning touch-ups when required.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers regarding the cleaning process and service requirements.
- Inspect equipment before and after use and report any damage, maintenance issue or safety concern.
- Maintain the cleanliness and proper condition of company vehicles, cleaning equipment and tools.
- Complete assigned jobs and basic service documentation accurately and on time.
REQUIREMENTS
- Possess a valid Singapore Class 3 driving licence.
- Able and confident to operate manual-transmission vans or lorries.
- Familiar with Singapore roads and able to plan travel routes independently using navigation applications.
- Able to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and team members.
- Responsible, punctual and able to work independently.
- Willing to learn upholstery cleaning, curtain dismantling and installation, and the operation of professional cleaning equipment.
- Able to perform vacuuming, steam cleaning and basic cleaning touch-up work independently after training.
- This position involves regular handling of cleaning equipment, climbing ladders, prolonged standing and working at different customer locations. Candidates must be able to perform these essential duties safely.
- Driving, cleaning, logistics or customer-service experience is an advantage but not essential, as training will be provided.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Six-day work week.
- Rest day will be scheduled flexibly based on operational requirements.
- Work will be carried out at different customer locations across Singapore.
- Overtime may be required depending on operational needs and will be compensated in accordance with applicable requirements.
- Additional performance or job incentives may be provided based on company policy.
