System Operation Engineer

Job Summary

Manage and resolve network operation issues, coordinate contractor activities, and ensure operational continuity through effective monitoring, reporting, and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Resolve daily network issues reported by the Network Operation Centre (NOC) via NMS, calls, or emails to maintain system stability
• Review outstanding issues weekly and plan root cause analysis to produce monthly reports and validate contractor SLA compliance
• Coordinate and track contractor activities to prevent conflicts with critical operations
• Initiate and review change requests, including post-implementation assessments, to ensure smooth transitions
• Develop and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance operational efficiency and compliance
• Update and maintain accurate records to support audit and operational requirements
• Validate contractor work to ensure quality and adherence to specifications
• Escalate operational impacts promptly to management for timely resolution
• Facilitate monthly management meetings to communicate status, issues, and action plans

Requirements

• At least diploma in IT related field
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience
• Comfortable to travel around from site to site
