Packaging Technician – Aluminium Capping(KITENGELA)

Key Responsibilities

Operate and monitor packaging and bottle-capping equipment.

Handle aluminium cap application and ensure correct cap placement and sealing.

Monitor capping quality and identify defective or improperly sealed bottles.

Conduct routine checks on packaging equipment and report faults promptly.

Ensure packaging materials are correctly handled and available for production.

Maintain required production, quality and equipment records.

Follow food safety, hygiene, occupational health and safety procedures.

Work closely with production, quality control and maintenance teams.

Minimize packaging defects, wastage, downtime and production losses.

Maintain a clean and organized packaging-line environment.

Requirements

Diploma or relevant technical qualification in Packaging Technology, Food Science, Mechanical Engineering, Production or a related field.

2–4 years of hands-on packaging experience in a beer, brewery, beverage or FMCG manufacturing environment.

Proven experience operating or working with aluminium bottle capping/crown capping equipment used in beer or similar beverages .

Practical knowledge of packaging-line operations, bottle handling and sealing processes.

Ability to identify capping defects, equipment faults and packaging-quality issues.

Good understanding of production, quality and food-safety standards.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work under production targets.

Willingness to work in a manufacturing/production environment.
