Job Description

This position involves supervising and caring for Primary 1 to Primary 6 students in an after-school student care environment. The role combines student supervision, academic support, activity planning, and behavior management.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and care for Primary 1 to Primary 6 students in an after-school student care centre.
  • Guide and ensure students complete their homework and assigned academic work.
  • Plan, prepare, and conduct engaging enrichment activities such as arts and crafts, character building programs, holiday activities and excursions
  • Ensure the safety, welfare, and discipline of students during school dismissal and pick up, activities within the centre premises, outdoor activities and excursions.
  • Foster positive behavior and help students develop good values and social skills.
  • Communicate with parents and guardians regarding students' progress, behavior, and well-being.
  • To perform administrative and logistics tasks (eg. planning, marking, preparation, purchasing, packing and tidying the centre, tabulation of responses)
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Manager.

Requirements

  • Minimum GCE 'N' Level qualification.
  • Undergraduate students attending evening classes are welcome to apply.
  • Genuine passion for working with children and nurturing their holistic development.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to guide and support primary school students in at least two subjects in English, Mathematics or Chinese.
  • Patient, responsible, and able to create a positive learning environment.

Location - Canberra Working hours - 10am to 7pm
