Required skills, experience and competencies Master Engineering degree (MSc) or equivalent Project Management education or experience from project management Experience within automotive industry Structured with excellent communication skills and good leadership abilities Target driven, result oriented and ”self-going” initiator skills Drive to improve processes and way of working Strong team spirit with a creative and positive attitude Ability to work cross borders and cultural differences. Good cross-cultural understanding Fluent in English System knowledge/skills in KOLA and PROTOM is mandatory Build & Vehicle Managment is a part of Complete Bus Department in Volvo Busses. We have the cross functional lead of the physical prototype builds supporting the Vehicle Projects. We are 10 persons, divided in 2 teams that work in close cooperation with different product development departments, manufacturing, prototype purchasing & procurement team. We are continuously striving to develop the Product build organization in order to be leaner and more efficient in supporting vehicle projects.

Prototype Vehicle & Fleet Manager PVM responsible to educate design how to write MR, severity on each MR, and all interface are included in the MR PVM to educate how to answer on the VARIANT/BOM review in PROTOM PVM to be super user/ key user in PROTOM Responsible to create status reports before and during build/rebuild Responsible to report the prototype build budget and highlight the deviations Responsible to secure that we have ha material follow up status before the build/rebuil Responsible for maintenance and investment plans Responsible for execution of the maintenance plan Book Test Vehicle loan with test plan and internal invoicing Responsible for the test vehicle fleet (Investments, TSU for new vehicles, bus fleet supply, scrapping, insurance, tax) Responsible for the process to keep correct technical status in PROTOMon our test vehicle The Volvo Group is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of trucks, buses, construction equipment and marine and industrial engines under the leading brands Volvo, Renault Trucks, Mack, UD Trucks, Eicher, SDLG, Terex Trucks, Prevost, Nova Bus, UD Bus, Sunwin Bus and Volvo Penta.
