Duties
- Assist with the preparation and cleanup of construction sites, ensuring a safe and organized workspace
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform tasks such as framing, drywall installation, flooring, and tile laying
- Support carpenters, plumbers, welders, and painters by providing necessary materials and assistance
- Read and interpret basic blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to understand project requirements
- Perform demolition work or restoration tasks as needed to prepare surfaces for new installations
- Mix and apply materials like caulking, paint, or sealants to ensure proper finishes
- Help with installation of flooring, tiles, drywall, and other finishing components while adhering to safety standards
Requirements
Qualifications
- Previous construction experience or familiarity with construction sites is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, saws, and drills
- Basic understanding of blueprint reading and schematics for construction projects
- Knowledge of drywall installation, caulking techniques, painting, plumbing basics, welding safety practices, flooring installation, and tile laying is a plus
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials and working in various weather conditions
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward safety protocols and quality standards
