Clinic Ambassador / Clinic Assistant
The Clinic Ambassador / ClinicAssistant is responsible for providing efficient, professional andpatient-centred service while supporting the clinic’s daily operations. Therole requires the ability to provide basic patient care, assist doctors andensure a consistently high level of service standards for all patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Register patients at the front counter and provide queue numbers.
- Perform patient triage, including taking vital signs, completing health declarations and carrying out safe-entry procedures where required.
- Prepare and dispense medications according to the doctor’s instructions and clinic protocols.
- Process charges for medical items and supplies used by patients.
- Assist doctors with patient’s minor procedures.
- Attend to patient enquiries and telephone calls courteously and efficiently.
- Process online submissions for TPA insurance schemes and eClaims, CHAS, CDMP and Medisave claims.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering basic medications, medical supplies and stationery.
- Perform general administrative duties and other tasks as assigned by the supervisor or management.
- Adhere to clinic policies, standard operating procedures and patient confidentiality requirements.
Requirements:
- Minimum GCE N/O-Level qualification or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a clinic, healthcare, medical or customer service environment is preferred.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with a pleasant, caring and patient-oriented attitude .
- Able to communicate effectively in English ; additional languages such as Mandarin or other local languages would be an advantage.
- Able to handle patients’ enquiries and phone calls in a professional and tactful manner .
- Able to work well independently as well as in a team.
- Organised, responsible, meticulous and able to multitask in a busy clinic environment.
- Willing to learn and assist with basic clinical procedures, medication dispensing and administrative duties .
- Able to maintain patient confidentiality and follow clinic policies and procedures.
- Good customer service skills with a strong focus on patient experience and service standards .
- Relevant healthcare certifications or experience in first aid, CPR, phlebotomy or basic clinical skills would be an advantage.
- Candidates with no prior clinic experience but a positive attitude and willingness to learn may also be considered.
