construction safety officer

Verity Construction Ltd. is looking for a CSO to perform daily inspections of job sites and help the Safety Manager in daily operations:

Position Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

• Assisting the Safety Manager and Coordinator in daily operations

• Performing site inspections to ensure safety standards are being met

• Promoting site safety

• Ensuring that site workers are working in accordance with the approved practices and procedures

• Engaging with site workers to encourage safety on site

• Developing and implementing safe work procedures and safe job practices

• Conducting and documenting toolbox meetings

• Performing site orientations and training people to give site orientations for new workers

• Ensuring safety regulations are being followed and perform disciplinary measures

Requirements:

• CSO certification

• Valid occupational first aid level two/ intermediate first aid or higher

• Ability to work in a team setting

• Experience on a variety of project types

• Good organizational and documentation skills

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Job Type: Full-time
