ASSISTANT FACTORY MANAGER

Key Responsibilities

Assist in overseeing daily factory and production operations.

Coordinate production activities to ensure timely completion of production targets.

Supervise and coordinate factory staff and production teams.

Monitor production processes, output, quality, and efficiency.

Ensure adherence to workplace health, safety, and environmental standards.

Assist in managing raw materials, machinery, equipment, and other production resources.

Identify operational challenges and implement practical solutions.

Coordinate maintenance of production machinery and equipment.

Monitor wastage and support initiatives aimed at reducing production costs.

Prepare and maintain production and operational reports.

Work closely with management, stores, procurement, sales, and other departments.

Ensure factory housekeeping and proper organization of the production environment.

Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Management, or a related field.

Previous experience in a manufacturing/factory environment.

Strong understanding of production processes and factory operations.

Good supervisory and team-management skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet production targets.

Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

Experience in the steel or metal manufacturing industry will be an added advantage.
