Position Summary  As a Pharmacy Technician I, Non-Sterile Compounding, you'll play a vital role in the preparation, quality control, and dispensing of custom compounded medications. Unlike a typical pharmacy technician role, this position offers focused, hands-on experience in non-sterile compounding techniques alongside cross-training in prescription fulfillment and clinical coordination support within an innovative, service-oriented environment. You'll be involved in every step of the compounding process, from formulation and preparation to quality checks and point of sale, with ample opportunities for growth, learning, and career advancement.

Key Responsibilities Prepares non-sterile compounded medications accurately and efficiently, following standard operating procedures and regulatory guidelines Maintains inventory of compounding supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper storage Collaborates with pharmacists to review prescriptions, ensuring appropriateness for compounding and verifying accuracy of information Performs calculations to determine the correct quantities of ingredients required for compounding medications Maintains a clean and organized compounding area, adhering to sterile and aseptic techniques Assists in the labeling and packaging of compounded medications, providing clear instructions to patients Maintains accurate records of all compounded medications, including batch numbers, expiration dates, and other essential information Performs other related duties as required and assigned

Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Registered Pharmacy Technician with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy 6+ months of experience in a pharmacy setting Ability to work with pharmacy software, cloud-based communication tools, and mobile platforms Strong attention to detail, reliable time management, and a team-oriented attitude Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks

Work Environment & Physical Requirements Fast-paced pharmacy setting requiring multitasking and attention to detail Collaborative team environment with cross-functional exposure to compounding, fulfillment, and clinical coordination May require occasional remote or telephonic patient interactions Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts Frequent use of hands for typing, data entry, and medication preparation Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally Visual acuity required for reading prescriptions and verifying medication labels
