Key Duties
- Take fabrication projects from kick-off through to handover, overseeing planning, progress and delivery
- Produce construction drawings, work methodologies, procedures, engineering calculations and risk assessments
- Compile Material Take-Off (MTO) lists and work with procurement on vendor selection
- Allocate and schedule the manpower, materials and equipment needed to keep projects moving
- Build inspection plans together with QA/QC and arrange third-party inspections
- Monitor fabrication progress alongside the production team and keep stakeholders updated
- Resolve site queries and make sure day-to-day activities comply with HSE requirements
Requirements
- Diploma in Engineering, ideally Marine or Offshore related
- At least 2 years in Steel Fabrication (preferred)
- Confident with 2D AutoCAD (3D modelling an advantage), MS Office and MS Project
- Solid grasp of steel fabrication processes, fabrication standards and classification society rules
- Familiar with steel material properties — grades, thicknesses and EN standards
- Working knowledge of SMAW, FCAW, SAW and GTAW welding processes
- Comfortable with project management practices and engineering calculations
- Able to communicate and build rapport with people at every level
