Accountabilities: The Subrogation Adjuster will be responsible for managing recovery efforts, investigating claims, and ensuring accurate handling of outgoing and incoming subrogation matters. The role requires strong attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to evaluate complex claim information while delivering a high-quality customer experience.

Initiate investigations for incoming and outgoing subrogation losses.

Prepare auto damage and first-party medical subrogation claims for recovery by gathering relevant documentation and determining accurate claim values.

Communicate with policyholders, insurance carriers, and payees throughout the claims process.

Review subrogation demands involving auto damage, fixed property, and specialty vehicles.

Evaluate the completeness, accuracy, and quality of supporting documentation.

Confirm settlement proceeds and issue deductibles to policyholders when applicable.

Identify appropriate cases for arbitration referrals and provide supporting documentation.

Process payments within assigned authority levels.

Apply negotiation techniques to achieve effective settlements while considering overall business impact.

Conduct liability and coverage investigations to support claim decisions.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have prior claims handling experience, strong analytical abilities, and the professionalism needed to manage sensitive customer and industry relationships. Success in this role requires attention to detail, adaptability, and a collaborative approach to solving problems.

2+ years of successful experience handling insurance claims, including responsibility for issuing payments, managing correspondence, and following claim management guidelines.

Experience with claims best practices and subrogation processes.

Familiarity with Arbitration Forums and E-Subrogation Hub.

Ability to obtain and maintain insurance licenses in multiple states, including Texas, within three months.

Strong understanding of liability and coverage investigations.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Professional communication skills with the ability to remain empathetic and customer-focused.

Curious mindset with the ability to approach challenges with an open mind.

Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage priorities independently.
