Accountabilities: The GL Accountant will be responsible for managing general ledger activities, supporting financial close processes, ensuring compliance, and partnering with internal and external stakeholders to maintain accurate financial records.

Execute period-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and other assigned accounting tasks according to established timelines.

Prepare fixed asset proposals, reconciliations, and roll-forward analyses.

Manage end-to-end Goods and Services Tax (GST) compliance activities and support statutory requirements.

Prepare and issue cost-plus invoices for intercompany transactions while ensuring compliance with transfer pricing agreements and applicable requirements.

Manage monthly accrual processes by analyzing financial data, preparing asset and liability journal entries, and posting transactions accurately.

Act as a key point of contact for statutory, tax, and GST audits, responding to requests and coordinating required documentation.

Maintain accurate local and US GAAP accounting records.

Perform balance sheet and income statement reconciliations, including variance and flux analysis.

Collaborate with local consultants and external partners for statutory filings and compliance activities.

Support finance leadership with special projects, reporting requirements, and ad-hoc analysis.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate should have strong general ledger accounting experience, excellent analytical abilities, and the capability to work effectively in a global finance environment.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

4–6 years of hands-on GL accounting experience, preferably within a multinational organization or global finance team.

Experience managing financial close activities, reconciliations, journal entries, and compliance processes.

Strong understanding of accounting principles, including local statutory accounting and US GAAP practices.

Experience working with ERP systems and financial platforms such as NetSuite, Coupa, or BlackLine is an advantage.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial data analysis.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and regions.

Self-motivated and detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

Ability to work effectively under deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality.

Willingness to collaborate with international teams, including overlapping with US working hours when required.
