Accountabilities: The Business Solution Consultant will act as a product and domain expert throughout the customer engagement lifecycle, supporting sales teams by designing solutions, validating technical fit, and demonstrating business value. This role requires strong communication skills, technical understanding, and the ability to translate customer challenges into effective solution strategies.

Develop deep expertise in assigned product areas and serve as a subject matter expert during sales opportunities.

Partner with sales teams to conduct discovery sessions, understand customer goals, and evaluate technical requirements.

Analyze systems, integrations, data flows, security considerations, scalability needs, and other technical factors to support solution strategies.

Translate customer requirements into solution designs, configurations, and implementation approaches.

Lead product demonstrations, workshops, and proofs of concept tailored to specific customer personas and business objectives.

Maintain demo environments, reusable assets, scripts, documentation, and supporting materials to improve sales effectiveness.

Provide accurate responses to RFPs, RFIs, security questionnaires, and technical customer requests.

Validate solution configurations and ensure alignment between proposed solutions and customer environments.

Capture opportunity insights, decision criteria, and key sales information within CRM systems.

Prepare detailed technical handoff documentation to support successful customer onboarding.

Collaborate with product and enablement teams by sharing customer feedback, market insights, and improvement opportunities.

Travel regularly to customer locations to support strategic opportunities, onsite demonstrations, and executive workshops.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will bring experience in solution consulting, sales engineering, implementation, or SaaS environments, along with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences. Success in this role requires strong organization, customer focus, and knowledge of education technology or related enterprise solutions.

4+ years of experience in solution consulting, sales engineering, implementation, or a related SaaS role.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

Knowledge of at least one K–12 technology domain, such as student information systems, analytics, learning platforms, engagement solutions, ERP, or talent systems.

Understanding of K–12 district operations, funding models, and stakeholder priorities.

Experience supporting customer demonstrations, workshops, and technical discovery sessions.

Ability to explain technical concepts, integrations, and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Familiarity with APIs, data integrations, authentication processes, security controls, rostering, and related technical concepts.

Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce for opportunity tracking, documentation, and sales collaboration.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple active opportunities and deadlines.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience working with public sector organizations, education technology buyers, or enterprise software solutions is preferred.

Familiarity with education technology standards such as Ed-Fi, OneRoster, LTI, SAML, or OIDC is a plus.

Experience creating prototypes, data visualizations, demo assets, or tools that communicate business value is preferred.

Willingness and ability to travel approximately 60–75% for customer engagements.
