Accountabilities: The Backend Infrastructure Engineer will own and improve core infrastructure systems responsible for reliability, scalability, and performance. This role requires strong technical ownership, experience with production systems, and the ability to solve complex problems in dynamic environments. Build, maintain, and improve infrastructure supporting reliable data collection at scale. Enhance system success rates when interacting with complex or highly protected web environments. Own the health, performance, rotation, and cost efficiency of proxy infrastructure. Improve throughput, scalability, and reliability under heavy and unpredictable workloads. Investigate complex production issues, identify root causes, and implement long-term solutions. Design and maintain backend systems with a strong focus on stability and operational excellence. Take ownership of infrastructure components from development through production operation. Continuously measure performance, iterate on improvements, and deliver impactful solutions. Requirements: The ideal candidate has strong backend or infrastructure engineering experience and enjoys working on challenging technical problems involving networking, reliability, and large-scale systems. This role requires someone comfortable with ownership, ambiguity, and production responsibility. 3+ years of experience in backend engineering, infrastructure engineering, networking, or related technical roles. Experience building and maintaining high-throughput backend systems. Familiarity with networking concepts, proxy systems, distributed systems, or similar infrastructure technologies. Strong understanding of production reliability, monitoring, debugging, and system performance optimization. Ability to independently own technical systems and maintain them in production. Comfortable working on complex, evolving problems without predefined solutions. Strong problem-solving skills and persistence when investigating difficult technical issues. Ability to move quickly, test solutions, measure results, and continuously improve systems. Experience working in environments requiring operational ownership and accountability.
