Our client is a leading OEM supplier of products and services for medical devices and procedures.

The primary purpose of this job is to plan, direct and control the overall maintenance of the Facility’s physical plants in Plymouth and Blaine. This position must oversee or perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration and other technical tasks, as well as ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal life-safety code regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS: (education & experience)

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a mechanical or electrical engineering or related discipline.

  • Must be available to be "on-call" 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • 2-3 years prior maintenance supervision experience.
  • Knowledgeable of OSHA and EPA regulations.
  • HVAC skills preferred.
  • The ability to read blueprints, schematics and construction drawings is helpful.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak the English language

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Quality systems.
  • 6 Sigma engineering methodologies experience.
  • Regulated class 2 medical device manufacturing experience a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills required and the ability to maximize asset utilization required.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Adheres to the Company's Core Beliefs and all safety and quality requirements.
  • Ensures adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Plans, schedules and supervises or performs maintenance activities at the Facility.
  • Coordinates, oversees and may assist with electrical, plumbing, carpentry, heating, cooling and refrigeration repair tasks in a timely manner.
  • Maintains overall appearance of Facility’s physical plant.
  • May obtain drawings and bids for physical plant improvements.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable governmental regulation including federal, state and local authorities and/or regulatory agencies.
  • Maintains preventative maintenance schedule within the PM database.
  • Identifies and corrects safety hazards.
  • Establishes and maintains record of purchases and inventories of maintenance supplies. Drives to reduce contract/vendor costs.
  • Maintains accurate records of various regulatory inspections (i.e. - life safety inspections).
  • Maintains compliance with maintenance budget.
  • Ability to conduct and provide in-service training to appropriate staff members.
  • Ability to function as a Team Leader/Role Model.
  • Supervises Technicians in a manner that fosters a safe work environment, self-directed team approach and maintains a union free work environment.
  • Provides continuous communication to Plant management on facility concerns.
  • Identifies, arranges and/or provides training to ensure a safe, efficient, quality work environment with focus on continuous improvement through Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Investigates, develops and implements new process technologies of moderate scope.
  • Provides leadership to Technicians in all areas including: hiring, performance management, coaching, counseling and corrective actions.
  • Promotes an atmosphere of diversity, open communication and trust, affording opportunities for training and growth.
  • Remains flexible to the needs of the business and performs other functions as required.
