We are looking for an experienced Application Support Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Linux/Unix environments and Bash/Shell scripting . The candidate will be responsible for supporting production applications, troubleshooting incidents, monitoring system performance, and ensuring application availability and stability.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L1/L2 application support for production systems.
- Monitor applications, services, batch jobs, and scheduled processes.
- Troubleshoot application, system, and production issues in Linux/Unix environments .
- Perform log analysis and identify root causes of incidents.
- Develop, maintain, and execute Bash/Shell scripts for automation, monitoring, and operational tasks.
- Manage Cron jobs , processes, files, permissions, and system utilities.
- Handle incident, problem, and service requests in accordance with defined SLAs.
- Coordinate with development, infrastructure, database, and other technical teams for issue resolution.
- Perform application health checks, deployment support, and post-deployment validation.
- Prepare technical documentation, support procedures, and incident reports.
- Participate in production releases, maintenance activities, and on-call support when required.

Mandatory Skills
- Strong experience in Application/Production Support .
- Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Good knowledge of Bash/Shell scripting .
- Experience in troubleshooting application and production issues.
- Good understanding of Linux commands, processes, file systems, permissions, and log analysis .
- Experience with Cron/Scheduler and batch job monitoring .
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Good to Have
- SQL/database troubleshooting experience.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and Service Management tools.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Grafana, or similar .
- Exposure to Python, Java, or other scripting/programming languages .
- Experience with CI/CD, cloud platforms, or DevOps environments.
